RELIGIOUS INTERVENTIONS

    Jewish Response Uganda was built on the foundation of Judaism, therefore, we are proud and passionate in ensuring that the principles and Judaism traditions are upheld. Therefore, Jewish Response Uganda in partnership with both local and international friends mobilizes resources to runs a religious program focusing on the following among others.

    Supporting Rabbis to conduct outreaches to educate those in and outside the Jewish community about Judaism’s practices, traditions, principles and religious holidays.

    Support/fund Synagogues to celebrate Jewish holidays, including bar and bat mitzvahs

    Provide spiritual guidance to remote Jewish communities that lack a physically present spiritual leader.

    Support the development of religious infrastructure such as Synagogue, Mikveh to Jewish communities without or with temporary Synagogues.

    Facilitate the connecting of local Jewish communities with the international Jewish community.

    Advocate for the international recognition of Ugandan Jews.

    Promoting a volunteer program for local Jewish young people to become involved in local Jewish activities.

    Support/Fund the conversion of interested local people to the Jewish faith, including the facilitating conversions done by local and international rabbis.
